Privacy Policy

This draft describes the intended privacy stance of Qafila. It is not a final, reviewed policy.

Self-hosting

When self-hosting, Qafila runs entirely on your own hardware. We collect no telemetry, analytics or usage data from self-hosted installations. Licence verification is offline — the app never phones home.

SaaS

When using the hosted SaaS product, your account data (email, uploaded/downloaded media, transcripts and any of your own cloud-AI keys you add) is stored in a tenant isolated from other accounts. Your own keys are stored encrypted and are not shared between tenants.

What goes to cloud-AI providers

If you choose a cloud-AI provider (for transcription, translation or analysis), only the transcript text for that step is sent — never the source URL, title or file metadata.

Payment details

Checkout runs through Stripe. We keep no card numbers; Stripe processes and stores the payment details directly.
